How can I make a gift?
Rosemount Center offers a variety of ways to give. In addition to cash gifts made by check or credit card, other assets may be used to fund a gift including stock, gifts from your estate, and gifts-in-kind. Read more about your options below. For questions or further assistance with making a donation, please contact Martha Johnson; Chief Development Officer and Deputy CEO at (202) 265-9885, ext 116.
However you choose to give, Rosemount is grateful for your support.
How can I increase the impact of my support?
Recurring gifts are a convenient and easy way to spread your gift out over time, enabling you to give more generously. By making a monthly or quarterly donation by credit or debit card, you provide consistent support of Rosemount's early childhood education and family support programs.
Matching Gift Programs
Many companies offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple the charitable contributions made by an employee. Please contact your employer to see if they participate in a matching gift program. Then simply submit the matching gift form along with your contribution.
Rosemount is grateful to all our corporate sponsors and donors who play an essential role in helping to serve Rosemount's children and families. Many local businesses support Rosemount by sponsoring our annual Golf Tournament and Fall Fiesta fundraising events, or by donating items to the live and silent auctions at our Fall Fiesta. Both events provide excellent opportunities for businesses to market their products and services to a wide audience. Corporations who participate in matching gift programs may also support Rosemount by matching their employees' donations.
Gifts of Stock, Bonds or Securities
Rosemount Center accepts gifts of marketable securities in any amount. Making a gift of appreciated securities may enable a donor to:
- Avoid capital gains tax on the appreciated portion of the stock
- Qualify for a tax deduction equal to the stock's full fair market value
- Make a larger gift than might be otherwise possible
Gifts from your estate
Bequests, gifts of insurance and retirement plan funds, and gifts that provide lifetime income can provide significant future resources to Rosemount Center while providing you with income, tax, and other financial benefits.
Rosemount Center is always in need of classroom supplies for the infant/toddler and preschool classes, and gifts-in-kind are greatly appreciated. Gifts around holiday time are especially welcome. For futher detail on what is needed by the Center, please see Rosemount's complete Wish List
