Rosemount Center Building Lease Update

Statement from Rosemount Center and House of Mercy

April 25, 2024 – Rosemount Center and House of Mercy are in ongoing discussions and have reached an agreement in principle to extend the term of the lease at 2000 Rosemount Ave, NW for two years and to provide an option thereafter to Rosemount Center to purchase the property for an agreed price. The parties are currently working on legal documents to formalize their agreement in principle and will issue a more detailed statement if and when documents are finalized and executed. Rosemount Center and House of Mercy greatly appreciate the outpouring of support from all aspects of the community.

Rosemount Center will not operate from its current location as of August 31, 2024. Please know Rosemount Center board and staff leadership are diligently working and considering all possible options.

If you would like to have your voice heard, the following decision-makers and local elected officials have ties to the community and may be receptive to your comments: D.C. Councilwoman Brianne K. NadeauOffice of the Deputy Mayor of Education, and DC Council Chair Phil Mendelson.

Please know that we are considering all possible options for Rosemount Center.  We are not leaving one stone unturned.
